Life in general
Really can't please everybody all the time so I focus on being true to myself. This may be upsetting to some but if we don't look out for ourselves then who will? Rest assured I will take care of my family and friends to the best of my ability but sometimes it may not meet up to the expectations of others. Superwoman I'm not but authentic and genuine are my goals. This is a regret that is out of my control but indeed something to ponder. I'm not perfect but always a work in progress. I will continue with life in general with my way of thinking and see if it suits me my next 43 years.

That damn dog ate my Red Velvet birthday cake!
Apparently along with herding skills Wheaten Terriers have the gift of scaling barstools only to devour their master's birthday cake. One may find this comical however it make's for a nasty 48 hours of clean-up. I do so regret that my hubby didn't put the lid on the cake while we were out for my celebratory dinner. Thanks Molly for saving me the calories, I do still love you and now you have to wear that cake on your hips.

Did somebody say Neiman's?
Take my advice, if you're invited to a fundraiser luncheon at Neiman's... then GET DRESSED! Okay girl's don't make the same mistake as me and think you didn't want to look like you tried too hard. It's a gorgeous spring day in Atlanta and of course I want to drive my jeep. I put on a cute & comfy outfit and cruise down GA 400 to Neiman Marcus at Lenox for a highly anticipated luncheon with my girlfriend Andrea. I became well aware of the fact that I was under dressed as I walked to the escalator when two women gave me the once over and discovered country came to town look. It's alright ladies because country DID come to town. The event was for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and what a great cause. As the fashion show ended and guest speakers finished, I knew then the afternoon had been a blessing. To listen to an eighteen yr. old young girl tell of her journey with cancer and her Mom followed with her own memories I realized I was being filled with someone else's pain and heartache and to be humble in my own little moments. Thanks be to God for my children's health, my family's health and for my cute & comfy outfit!

Did I really just eat Five Guys????
The day started out good as I motivated myself to the gym for a little Kick Box Jam with my girlfriend Karen. We've been working real hard these past couple of months towards the ultimate goal of swimsuit shopping. We've also been feeling the pain. Sore butt, legs, arms and just sore all over.
Well kids were off from school AGAIN so I took them with me to the gym. They played nicely in the kids center for two hours so as a reward I let them choose where to eat lunch. You guessed it... Five Guys. That just ain't right. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

Oh no Mr. Tennis Pro, don't take anything off your serve
The perfect black and blue imprint of a Penn 4 on my right thigh is my only souvenir from beautiful Montego Bay, Jamaica. I asked for it alright... after a full one hour private tennis lesson. Mr. Tennis Pro I just wanna see if I can return your serve, don't take anything off. I feel great and I've learned so much from you. WHAM!!!!! OUCH!!!!! CRAP!!!!
Home hair color... need I say more?
Dierks Bentley sings it best 'What Was I Thinkin' Oh yeah folks I did it. Marched my butt down that forbidden aisle at CVS. Mind you one of my great friends is the owner of the elite Jamison Shaw Salon in Atlanta. I must of read some dumb article in Good Housekeeping or Ladies Home Journal on how to save a few bucks. Note to self, NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!
